We are seeking an experienced, warm, and dedicated Montessori Lead Teacher to join our early childhood program. This is an opportunity to lead a thoughtfully prepared classroom rooted in Montessori philosophy and best practices in early childhood education.
The Lead Teacher is responsible for guiding a mixed-age classroom, fostering independence, curiosity, and a love of learning, while maintaining a nurturing and well-organized environment using the Montessori principles.
Qualifications
• Montessori Teaching Certification (required)
• Bachelor’s degree required (Early Childhood or related field preferred)
• Must meet New York State OCFS requirements
• Minimum age of 21
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous teaching experience
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
Love of nature and bilingual abilities are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a Montessori classroom environment
• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with Montessori principles
• Observe, assess, and document student development
• Maintain communication with families, including conferences and updates
• Collaborate with staff and lead classroom team
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and holistic development of each child
Salary
$37,000 - $60,000 - Salary Commensurate with Experience
