Homestead School is seeking a trained Montessori Lower Elementary Teacher, or a teacher in training, to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. We are 2 hours away from New York City, situated on a 100 acre campus with a stream, pond, field, and forest. We are looking to hire an energetic individual to be part of a teaching team in one of our Elementary classrooms. If you are a kind, flexible, and compassionate person who enjoys working with children and loves the outdoors, we’d like to hear from you. - Montessori Early Childhood(or LE or UE) certification or training complete (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited program) required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education(change of language depending on the position), Child Development, or a related field desired
- State teaching credential or early childhood permit (change of language depending on the position/ as required by local regulations) desired
- Experience working with children ages 2.5–6(change of language depending on the position) in a Montessori or early childhood setting required
- Experience working in a mixed-age classroom desired
