We are seeking a part time assistant Montessori Teacher to work a 2pm-6pm shift Monday-Friday.
This is for our 2/3s class

Duties:
-Oversee the implementation of the Montessori methodology and work with the classroom teachers in presenting to the students
-work with children ages 2-3 in creating an independent environment
- comfortability with diapers as needed

Experience in a Montessori Classroom
Dual language preferred
Degree or working on a degree in Early Childhood preferred, minimum 2 years classroom experience with children 2-3 years-old
Leadership experience preferred
Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills
Solid working knowledge of Early Childhood Education and NYC Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene, Article 47 of the NYC Health Code
Montessori certified or willing to become sponsored to be certified a plus
Candidate must be willing to take required courses per Article 47 by the Department of Health
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience

Melville Montessori is a new Montessori School in Forest Hills Queens. We are a small and tight knit school with 4 classrooms and a very involved school community. Our children are aged 2-5 years old.
