We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Assistant Montessori Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating Motnessori environment where toddlers (ages 2–3) can grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities utilizing the methods and materials from Maria Montessori.
Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
Support toddlers with personal needs such as feeding, diapering, and toilet training.
Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Observe and document children’s behavior, growth, and development.
Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents via our MyKidzDay app
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Associates degree in Education or Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred.
Experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting is essential.
Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early literacy education practices.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Experience in Montessori curriculum preferred
Knowledge of special education strategies and experience working with children with autism is highly desirable.
A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students through engaging lesson delivery.

We are a young Montessori School in the heart of Forest Hills- close to the E/F Train. We operate year round and are a completely private DOH program. We are looking for someone to help us grow and develop our Montessori curriculum and classroom. The school works as a team and all teachers assist one another throughout the day.
