West Side Montessori School is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic guides (teachers) for infants, toddlers, and twos lead and assistant positions. We are opening a new, state-of-the-art, Infant/Toddler and Twos Center on the Upper West Side.

The ideal candidate will have experience and a passion for supporting young children as they grow and develop in a safe, loving, and stimulating environment. Guides will provide a positive and enriching experience for children ages 3 months to 3 years old while providing individualized care and fostering early childhood development through structured and unstructured activities.

For 60 years, West Side Montessori School (WSMS) has provided innovative, dynamic early childhood education that combines key aspects of the Montessori curriculum with the best practices of current child development. WSMS is a collegial environment of lifelong learners. We provide excellent professional development opportunities. Candidates who would like to pursue a Montessori certification are eligible for full tuition to our West Side Montessori School Teacher Education Program (WSMS-TEP).

We are seeking experienced candidates. Candidates must have a high school diploma, a CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, child development, or a related field. Candidates with NYS Early Childhood certification will be prioritized. Montessori Infant-Toddler certification is a plus.
