Are you a compassionate and dedicated Montessori educator ready to create a nurturing home away from home for our youngest learners? Bergen-Lafayette Montessori School (BLMS) is thrilled to announce an opening for a Head Teacher in our Infant classroom. We are seeking a talented individual to step into this role and continue our tradition of exceptional care and education in one of the most diverse cities in the U.S. The classroom will serve 8 children aged 3 months to 17 months, in September 2025. In this role, you will step into a well-established classroom and work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants who have been part of this nurturing environment for several years. Your mission will be to create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports our youngest learners.

Please note our school will be relocating to 200 Monticello Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07304 in August 2025.

Montessori Expertise: Montessori Infant/Toddler credential preferred (Early Childhood Certification acceptable) and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Infant/Toddler Montessori classroom preferred.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with bilingual abilities (Spanish) considered a plus!
Passion for Education: A deep commitment to child-centered learning and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of infants, teachers, and the program.
Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills and a respectful approach to diverse perspectives and ideas.
Classroom Excellence: Ability to prepare and maintain a high-quality environment tailored to the needs of infants, document and assess their progress, and actively engage parents in their child's development.
