The Mandarin Montessori teacher combines the principles of Montessori education with the teaching of Mandarin Chinese language and culture.
The teacher should have knowledge of the Montessori curriculum and philosophy and of the research and best practices in non-dominant language acquisition. The teacher will support the program through planning, teaching and assessment/observation of students.
The position is expected as a full time position with the range of 30-40 hours per week.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor Degree or higher
• Qualified Montessori certification attained or in progress
• Native Mandarin speaker
• Experience: Previous early childhood teaching experience or Mandarin teaching experience preferred
• Fluent in English
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
