West Side Montessori School is seeking early childhood teachers for lead and assistant teacher positions.

For nearly 60 years, West Side Montessori School (WSMS) has provided innovative, dynamic early childhood education that combines key aspects of the Montessori curriculum with the best practices of current child development. A cornerstone of WSMS’s approach is that we reflect our economically, racially, culturally, and intellectually diverse community. WSMS is a vibrant, collaborative community of passionate teachers, joyful children and engaged parents. Our faculty is made up of 41 teachers, of whom 24 are Montessori-certified and 14 are working towards certification; 19 have master’s degrees and 3 are enrolled in a master’s degree program. Our teachers represent 15 countries and speak 14 languages.

Entry salaries range from $55,000 to $85,000. Candidates should hold a New York State Early Childhood certification, or be on a pathway in pursuit of state certification.
