Description of Position

*Create a warm, nurturing classroom environment where infants and toddlers feel safe, respected, secure, and valued.
*Guide children through their early developmental years using Montessori principles, observation, and responsive caregiving.
*Prepare and maintain an engaging, beautiful, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment.
*Observe each child carefully and use those observations to support their individual development and emerging independence.
*Develop and implement engaging experiences that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
*Build strong, trusting relationships with families and maintain open, thoughtful communication about their child's development and daily experiences.
*Lead and collaborate with your classroom team, modeling professionalism, patience, respect, and consistency.
*Work closely with school leadership and fellow educators to create a cohesive and joyful school community.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is not only qualified, but who genuinely loves working with infants and toddlers.
Our ideal candidate has:
AMI/AMS Montessori Infant & Toddler certification preferred
A CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Experience working with children 3 months–24 months
A nurturing, patient, and calm presence
Strong observation and communication skills
The ability to lead a classroom while working collaboratively with a teaching team
A strong understanding of child development and respectful caregiving
A genuine commitment to the Montessori philosophy
Professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
A desire to continue learning and growing as an educator

Salary$50,000–$54,000 annually, depending on education, Montessori training, and work experience and benefits package that includes health insurance, dental, vision and IRA retirement plan
