School Community

Catskill Montessori School is a non-profit, authentic Montessori school sitting on a beautiful 63-acre campus, nestled against the backdrop of the majestic Catskill Mountains. Inspired by the permaculture ethics of earth care, people care, and fair share, our indoor classrooms and rich outdoor environments complement one another. Our campus features meticulously converted historic 1700s barns, a working 3,000-square-foot greenhouse, fruit orchards, a Food Forest, and a vibrant community of farm animals (including Nigerian dwarf goats, hens, and ducks). We are a joyful, inclusive community that seeks to fan the flames of all children's inherent brilliance and connect them deeply with the natural world.
