As an extension program of Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, A Montessori Summer camp seeks to offer consistency of practice, dignity in learning, and an enjoyable, laid-back, and happy summer experience for a range of children in the neighborhood. Many of our campers are enrolled at BHMS during the school year; others are returning to Camp after an academic year enrolled elsewhere; others are brand new to Montessori and may need a warm welcome to the Montessori approach to learning. For newly-trained and in-training Montessori teachers, this 4-week Camp experience is a great opportunity to build your muscles, deepen your bag of tricks, and try out classroom leadership alongside some seasoned veterans and some up-and-comers from our academic year support and afterschool teams who are just beginning to fall in love with Montessori, too.

Situated in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, we are situated within blocks of the Bergen Street F/G stop, all the trains at Borough Hall and Jay Street/Metrotech, the B65, B63, and B61 buses, and several Citibike docks. While we primarily use our private, recently renovated rooftop playground for recess and gross-motor times, we encourage nature walks and neighbor walks around the vicinity of the school and to Cobble Hill Park-- there's much to see!
