We are seeking a Montessori-trained Lead Teacher to guide a small, mixed-age preschool classroom beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. This is a wonderful opportunity for a thoughtful educator who values child-led learning and would enjoy helping shape a new, intentional preschool program grounded in Montessori principles, respect for development, and connection to nature.

The Lead Teacher will guide a small group of preschool children (approximately ages 3–6) within a Montessori-aligned classroom, fostering independence, curiosity, and concentration through purposeful work and thoughtful observation. Teachers at the Schoolhouse are encouraged to use careful observation as a primary teaching tool, allowing each child’s developmental path to inform lessons and classroom rhythm.

Qualifications
• AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited Montessori Early Childhood certification preferred
• Experience working in a Montessori or child-centered preschool classroom
• Strong understanding of the Montessori philosophy and mixed-age learning
• Warm, calm presence with strong classroom leadership
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for nurturing independence, curiosity, and joyful learning
