Position Overview: Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction across core subject areas (math, language, cultural studies, science) in alignment with Montessori philosophy and state/provincial standards where appropriate. Foster independence, critical thinking, collaboration, and curiosity through individualized and small-group lessons. Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to inform instruction and guide student growth. Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators to support each child’s academic, social, and emotional development. Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication, parent conferences, and community events. Model grace, courtesy, and respect in all interactions with students and adults. Maintain accurate and timely student records and reports. Participate actively in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development. |
| Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited Lower Elementary Montessori certification required. Deep understanding of child development and Montessori principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience working with diverse learners and communities. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). |
