Bergen-Lafayette Montessori School (BLMS) is excited to announce an opening for a Head Teacher position in our Toddler class. We are seeking a talented individual to step into this role and continue the legacy of exceptional education and care in one of the most diverse cities in the U.S. In this position you will work with children aged 18 months to 35 months, in September 2025. You will step into a well-established classroom and work closely with dedicated Spanish Language Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Teaching Assistants to create a warm, engaging, and child-centered learning environment.

Please note that our school will be relocating to 200 Monticello Avenue, Jersey City, NJ in August 2025. We are a small school and do not have the capacity to sponsor work visas. Montessori Expertise: Montessori Infant/Toddler credential preferred (Early Childhood Certification acceptable) and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Infant/Toddler Montessori classroom preferred.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with bilingual (Spanish) abilities considered a plus!
Passion for Education: A deep commitment to child-centered learning and adaptability to the evolving needs of children, teachers, and the program.
Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills and a respectful approach to diverse perspectives and ideas.
Classroom Excellence: Ability to prepare and maintain a high-quality classroom environment, document and assess children’s progress, and actively engage parents in their child's education.
