Our admissions process begins in the fall of the year before the desired year of entry.

The online application for the 2027-2028 school year will be available on September 1, 2026. The deadline to submit an application is December 15, 2026. Please read the information and instructions on the website carefully before submitting an application for your child. We encourage you to submit an application early to make scheduling your visit easier. However, all applications submitted by the deadline will be treated with equal care and consideration.

Applying to Our Programs

Please read the information and instructions on the website carefully before submitting an application for your child. We encourage you to submit an application early in the fall for ease of scheduling your visit to our school. However, we treat all applications submitted by the deadline with equal care and consideration.

Age Requirement

To be considered for September 2027 enrollment:

  • Infant Toddler Program applicants must be at least 3 months old to attend.
  • Twos Program applicants must be born between December 1, 2024 and September 1, 2025.
  • Early Childhood Program applicants must be born on or before December 1, 2024.

Information Session and Open Houses

We invite you to learn more about West Side Montessori School at our Virtual Information Session on Tuesday, September 29, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. No application is necessary to attend, but registration is required. The link will be available here in September.

Families who have submitted an application are invited to attend one of our two Open Houses, taking place on Thursday, October 15 and Monday, November 9, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at our Early Childhood building, 309 West 92nd Street. Registration details will be provided upon submission of your application.

Next Steps

Step 1: Submit an application online

The online application for the 2027-2028 school year will be available on September 1, 2026. The application deadline is December 15, 2026. There is a $90 application fee. A fee waiver is automatically applied for families applying for financial aid.

Step 2: Parent Meeting and Tour 

After your application has been processed, you will be invited to self-schedule a meeting and tour with the Program Director of the Infant Toddler Center.*

Step 3: Follow-Up Virtual Meeting

After your visit, a virtual meeting with the Director of Admissions will be scheduled.

Step 1: Submit an application online

Step 2: Parent Meeting and Tour After your application has been processed, you will be invited to self-schedule a tour and meeting. Your visit will include a tour of the Infant Toddler Center*, where the Two Program is located, as well as our Early Childhood building*, home to the Multi-Age Program.

Step 2: Parent Meeting and Tour

After your application has been processed, you will be invited to self-schedule a tour of the Multi-Age Program at our Early Childhood building * and a meeting with the Director of Admissions.

Step 3: Group Child Visit

The Group Child Visit is for applicants to the Early Childhood Program only. Your child will spend about 30 minutes in a classroom with a few other children and WSMS teachers. One parent will stay with the child during the visit. Group Child Visits are held on Saturday mornings in January. Your child’s visit will be scheduled after you have completed the Parent Meeting and Tour.
