What you will find at WSMS is a warm, diverse, and enthusiastic community of learners, where everyone is united in the important task of giving our children the best beginning education possible. Child development researchers have provided us with decades of research showing that the environment of a child’s earliest years can have effects that last a lifetime. We know that our students are developing exponentially — physically, mentally and socially, which is why our top priority is to ensure that every day at WSMS matters for every child. We offer children an innovative and dynamic program that combines key aspects of Montessori education with the best practices of current child development practice and research. At WSMS there is no such thing as “one size fits all.” Our promise is to help each child develop and learn individually at his or her own pace, in his or her own style.

One of the things that makes WSMS such a special place is how tightly knit we are as a community. Our experienced and caring teachers support and guide each of their students with warmth and respect — always keeping parents in the loop. Our administrators are focused on continually improving our ability to serve our students and parents, and our dedicated and highly skilled Board of Trustees, many of whom are current or former parents, sees to it that we operate in the best interests of our students. teachers and parents, while helping us plan for the future . Our dynamic Parents Association fosters camaraderie by organizing exciting events and enhances our school each year with its efforts to raise funds to help us continue to provide tuition assistance to 20% of our students.
