Qualifications
Requirements:
· Master degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or related field with 15 credits in ECE.
· NYS Initial Teaching Certification in ECE or Elementary Education within 30 days of hire.
· At least three years teaching experience.
· Certified Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
· First Aid Certification.
· Must hold or be able to obtain a current DOI background clearance.

We are seeking an afternoon guide with experience or interest in Montessori education, positive discipline and progressive education to work from 1:45-6:45 with a small group of six children aged 2-3 years old. After a long day, we want the afternoons to be calm and peaceful. Nap time ends at 3:00, followed by toileting, songs or stories with a transition to either our small backyard or neighborhood playground at 3:30. Snack is provided and you would be responsible for preparing snack and helping serve the children at 4:30. After snack, the children have an opportunity to return to work with Montessori materials. Children can be picked up anytime between 4:30 and 6:30. Your day ends with light cleaning of the environment.
