Admissions Process

There are four steps to our admissions process:

STEP ONE – Application

Multi-Age Program (2.9- to 6-year-olds) applications will be available online in September 2017 for the 2018-2019 school year.

Twos Program applications for current/sibling WSMS families will be available online in September 2017 for the 2018-2019 school year. Applications for new to WSMS families will be available online on December 1, 2017 for the 2018-2019 school year as long as spaces are available. Our commitment to current families combined with our space limitations require us to open applications to new families once the needs of our current families have been met.

In order to proceed with the steps below, an application must be on file. The confirmation email sent that confirms that your application has been successfully submitted includes guidance on how to proceed with steps 2-4 below.

STEP TWO – Classroom Observation

Classroom observations for families who have already submitted an application are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. beginning in mid-October and continuing through January. All applicants are invited to observe in our Multi-Age classrooms. These events are for parents only. Parents of sibling applicants are not required to attend. Information on how to schedule your Classroom Observation is included in your confirmation email.

STEP THREE – Parent Interview

After your classroom observation, you will be invited to schedule your parent interview. During this 30-minute visit, parents meet with a current or alumni WSMS parent from our Admissions Committee.

step four – Group Child Visit

After your classroom observation, Multi-Age Program applicants will also be invited to schedule a child visit. At this group session, children participate in a 20-minute classroom activity with WSMS teachers.
